Do all to the glory of God.

1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Hello again dear friends, what a wonderful time we had last night at our nursing home ministry! One of our faithful residences was just excitedly talking and Amening before the service even began which just made for a great time. Today I want to cover the third point in our core values area, that is excellence in all we do, or should I say do all unto the Glory of God! All these sub points relay back to the main point and that is God first. If we look at today's verse we see that whatsoever we do, we do for God. I think it a shame that if we can go to work and give 100% to our companies, but then come into the house of God and give Him 50% of our worship. Friends God is to be worshipped 100%, He is God and there is no other like Him. He has given us His all what would it be for us to give our all back? Whenever there is opportunity for you to work for the Lord we should give it our all that God be glorified in it. Lets really just think about everyday areas in our lives that excellence in all we do can also be done for the glory of God:

• Personal excellence- That is striving to please God though our actions, thoughts and motives. Continually growing in the faith and staying grounded in the truth that no false teaching may take us astray so we can lead others to Christ.
• Church excellence- I have heard an old preacher say "there is no place like this place, this place must be the place!". Our conduct should be as the many members fitly joined together all with the same purpose..to exalt God, and tell the world about salvation through Jesus Christ.
• Resources excellence- We should be concerned for Gods house, to ensure all equipment is in working order. Ensuring that the grounds are taken care of. Ensure that there is no waste in what we do, and all we do is done for His glory. We should also look not only on the buildings and such but to people also. We should constantly be looking for some one to train, equip, and send. Our most valuable resource is others.
• Just Plain excellence- Internally at the church house, or in our houses it pertains to the way we approach things to be done for God. It involves compassion one for another, and total commitment to maximizing our efforts as Christians. Outside our church or homes, pertains to the way in which we treat the world around us as we conduct ourselves. People are always watching even when we aren't looking.

So in closing today, do all you can to the best of your ability watching over the things God has placed in your control to glorify Him by all that you do! What a sentence, I hope this helps you to look at what your doing and why your doing it. I also hope this will make you go that extra mile to honor God while doing it, and tomorrow we will pick up on Core Beliefs as we continue in our study of the Christian soldiers training.
